Things don’t always go as planned for Deonvan freighter pilot, Sneighd Arkon. Keeping his battered freighter flying isn’t always easy. Keeping himself flying is even harder. When he’s offered a lucrative paying job by Sinnetian Syndicate Boss, Baquar Starka and refusing, knowing it’s not a good idea, Sneighd procures a loan to keep his freighter in one piece.
Baquar Starka isn’t one to forgive or forget slights, and activates a plan by murdering a Galactic Corporate Official who double-crossed him by manufacturing evidence that lands the murder squarely on Sneighd’s shoulders.
But things don’t always go as planned, even for Baquar Starka. Sneighd unexpectedly receives help in escaping Baquar’s clutches when Korbot Maka, and 18-year-old Rhadurian pilot, Haunalyn find themselves embroiled in a gun battle between Sneighd and Baquar’s men. Sneighd’s freighter is permanently disabled. The only means of escape is in Haunalyn’s Rhadurian hauler, the Rogue Marauder.
With Baquar Starka, the Galactic Corporate Police, a hired assassin called the Lurker, and a mysterious woman close on the unwilling companions heels, begins a manic wild race across the galaxy to find who actually murdered the Corporate official and the evidence of Sneighd’s innocence before all three become space dust.
